Putting the level of the oppo to one side (and the fact that it was a friendly) that was a really positive, professional & enjoyable performance. That system suits us, we just need the players to step up and give it a good go.
Dwight McNeil, like Iwobi before him, may have just found a new home for himself at centre mid. He ran the show there. Patterson was also very good - he always just wants to get himself up the pitch and encourages others around him to follow suit.
Gordon hattrick will do his confidence good. Doucoure good in spells. Price tidy. Rest of the young players (Cannon, Mills et al) gave a good account of themselves. Overall just very positive.
