He wouldn't have been my choice to have spent a lump of cash on, but, I think, on balance, we have to assume that Lampard and Thelwell have identified something in him our squad lacks. I think we will see a lot of him in the next run of games, while Patterson is out, because he adds a lot defensively and can help Seamus out.

He improved second half and the goal was a great finish. He definitely has that in his locker.

Think we'll need to be patient with him. Needs to grow in confidence.

I do always think he's going to lose the ball. He's definitely better off passing it than trying to take players on.

Agreed, I’m hoping that was mostly due to him trying to do too much or force something to happen, and that he’ll calm down and use the ball a bit better now
