Think it might relate to final league placings also. For example, Leeds would've finished 16th (not 17th) in 2021/22 and got more prize money. And, 18th instead of 19th last season. Burnley would've finished 17th in 2021/22 and not been relegated (Everton would've been). But, we didn't finally...

On that basis/formula I too don't think our appeal will work. We were £20m over according to them. Can only hope they find a way to be more 'proportionate' with it, and reduce the points deduction. We've broke the rules and ultimatelty there must be a punishment seen to he handed out.

Leicester and Burnley I sort of understand. Leeds and Southampton wouldve still gone down. Nottm Forest? I don't get that.

And, if we do get a transfer ban it'll be ideal for the Board for a couple of windows of non spending on players. Makes it even more important to get 3 players in before this hits (if it does).
