Shocking how often he is at least two steps behind play.

    Relegation 2022/23

My thing with the Forest signings is that it's not just that they signed a ton of guys, but it's like they looked at QPR in 2011-12 (signing guys who just weren't all that good, like Shaun Wright-Phillips, Joey Barton, Anton Ferdinand, Bobby Zamora, Djibril Cissé, and Nedum Onuoha) and thought...

    2022/23 Conor Coady

Every game since he's joined, I have not been able to get over how Wolves let the guy go. He's been fantastic, and everything you'd want in a center half. As far as his past goes, he just seems to me like a guy who loves football above all else. Top character, loves to compete, the type of...

    What a Year

This past year for Everton has been so crazy that there's one thing that I genuinely believe would have been among the most bonkers things to happen at most clubs in the world, and I get the impression that it has been completely forgotten by a lot of people:

    2021/22 Alex Iwobi

When he had that first really strong game vs. Leeds, everybody was extremely skeptical, and rightfully so. And although he has had a couple of only OKish games since then, over the last 14 games, he's been very good in probably 10 of them, but bringing effort and physicality in all while playing...

    2021/22 Andre Gomes

Should be nowhere near an Everton shirt without paying for one.

    2021/22 Andre Gomes

This is one of the most obvious "first half tactical sub" performances you will ever see, but he is still out there.

    2021/22 Frank Lampard

How on earth do you start Gomes in these two games? Absolutely inexcusable.

    2021/22 Seamus Coleman

I cannot recall ever seeing a worse captain at this level.

This guy needs to get Nyarko'd now.

    2021/22 Frank Lampard

I really like a lot of what he's done in his time at Everton, but my God, responding to having a center half sent off by leaving Seamus Coleman in the center with no defensive midfielder, and sitting there for 64 minutes making no changes, is absolutely poor management.

Match Thread Everton v Brentford. Preview, Match Report and MotM poll

I'm absolutely convinced that they could pull a knife and nobody's getting a second yellow on their side. Even before the penalty.

    2021/22 Jarrad Branthwaite

Just want to add that if that was a DOGSO red, with an attacker who wasn't playing the ball, it absolutely was on the Richarlison penalty, where the defender never played the ball and grabbed the man who was through.

    2021/22 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Don't really want to throw fuel on the fire here, but it's the kind of thing that gets me wondering about the two players' productivity in league games, at least compared with the last few years of Dominic Calvert-Lewin after he started scoring regularly. Niasse: Season Goals Assists Minutes Minutes per goal...

    Relegation

Not that it's in any way important, but I was wondering about the "Dyche's Burnley has a history of getting out of this" narrative, which I'd taken on board for a while, but is easy enough to check. Dyche has completed six seasons in the Premier League with them, and here they are: Season...
