Just a correction - we (Villa) don't need to raise funds. We have now problems with money but SCR. We need to bring down the wage bill to be UEFA competition compliant to something like 70% of income. We won't be selling McGinn, though, either way.

He's picking up thigh injuries too. Older player who's style relies on a lot of mobility - up and down the pitch and laterally. Not a good risk IMO.

Not sure about him Dave. Undoubtedly an excellent player for Villa but will be 31 later this year. A new challenge for him at a new club, new manager, new teammates, new fans could see an uplift in form. It is never going to be a long term...

Imagine the outrage in this place if we were trying to bring in a couple of crocks like Reid and Gray. Quality doesn't have to have an age limit, you just need the right mix.
