Dunno man, could he recover from the bruising he got at Chelsea and then an Everton relegation on top of that? Can't imagine clubs would be lining up for him. Would probably need to prove himself in the Championship or lower again, play the long game. At least if he left us he wouldn't get any blame at all for our season and would be remembered as the manager who came in to get us safe, and achieved it.

That's my point...

When the board tells him "by the way, you're not getting any money this window" and he finally realises it's a sure thing that we're going down.
Then he has his excuses already. Wasn't backed financially and had his star player sold from under him. Of course clubs will look at him if he makes a decent fight of it.

What’s the point of him telling the players they have to fight for their place, then just play them anyway, absolutely no incentive for the others.

Think this XI is more of Lampard’s vision for the team, except he’s telling the board “it’s about time you replaced Tom freaking Davies please and thank you, and by the way if we don’t get a proper backup for Dom we’re getting relegated.”

Definitely bigger issues than Davies in that 11.
