Player Valuation: £35m
We need a complete overhaul of whoever is responsible for negotiating fees for buying and selling players. How can we consistently overpay and undercharge - it’s outrageous!
Widely reported we paid €27m with potential to go to €30ish….. he / we won’t have met any of those add on conditions so more like £6m loss. Still not great (assuming PSG didn’t pay any loan fee which seem odd)Lol so a £10m+ loss on a player they never wanted to leave. Perfect.
It’s an obligation to buy.
If the buying club is particularly tight with regard to ffp it's a way of kicking the problem down the road.Does anyone understand the logic in a loan with an obligatory future fee?
A deal has clearly been agreed so there's obviously being a reason that either us or Juventus wanted it set up this way. The fact we need money to work around FFP and the money they’ve received from Ronaldo and that they no longer have his massive wagers I just don’t get why the deal has been set up this way.
There has to be a reason.
We need somebody to take complete charge, an expert, it'll cost but it would pay for its self and save us millions. We need a complete overhaul of whoever is responsible for negotiating fees for buying and selling players. How can we consistently overpay and undercharge - it’s outrageous!
I suspect whoever does that role if not Brands, will still be a bit hamstrung by the whims of the owner….. so they would either have to accept some recruitment they might otherwise steer clear of, or we will appoint them / they will walk at a faster rate than we get through managers atm.We need somebody to take complete charge, an expert, it'll cost but it would pay for its self and save us millions.
we could call him a transfer guru, czar or director or something...oh wait
