Haaland makes more sense and most likely at a better price
The other thing is for clubs that want to win the CL they need to not let the next generational talents go to someone else. Ronaldo and Messi being on Barca and Madrid let them dominate a decade. Mbappe and Haaland are the likely candidates to be that type of player next (I don't mean they'll be as good before anyone goes nuts). Maybe they don't do that, I wouldn't take the chance if I had the funds to not have to.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all of James moved onto his retirement swan song league this summer. The fact that he seemingly didn’t want to play today because he was a little tired is pretty ridiculous.
Just been onto my boss telling him I've worked three days this week and I'm a little tired and is it ok if i don't work today his response was not ok dont come in its not worth the risk, it was more a response that would get me banned from this forum.

Your not a footballer mate

Good player to rotate with James
He would get plenty of games
Plus he can play on the right
I agree. We need players that can change a game off the bench. The amount of times we have looked flat and our only options off the bench have been Bernard or iwobe…

I don't want us signing a single player from a relegated team ever again. Unless their name is Harry Kane or Jack Grealish I'd rather we didn't sign a player from another PL team this summer.

I don't see the issue with signing players from relegated clubs, I don't think we have signed bad players from relegated clubs we signed Godfrey from relegated Norwich and when we signed Gana from Villa, they had just been relegated

Agreed, there are always some good players to be had. Pereira at West Brom, Anguissa from Fulham, and Berge from Sheff United are all decent players. Which isn’t to say I’d sign them all, but I wouldn’t be unhappy if we signed one of them.

I dont mind players from relegated clubs TBH, they have often proved our best signings. Looking at this seasons relegated sides there is some talent that could be available on the cheap.....

West Brom
Sam Johnstone - Competition for Pickford
Grady Diangana
Ainsley Maitland-Niles - On loan from Arsenal
Matheus Pereira - This lad would be class in a better team

Fulham
Alphonse Arola - Competition for Pickford and on loan from PSG
Kenny Tete - RB been impressed when I have seen him play
Ruben Loftus Cheek - On loan from Chelsea, CM and carries the ball well
Mario Lemina - On Loan from Southampton, CM good all round and has mobility
Ademola Lookman - on loan but better than most of our wide options

Sheff Utd
Aaron Ramsdale - Competition for Pickford
Sander Berge

What about relegated clubs from Germany, they`ve had 3 big clubs in their terms relegated in Werder Bremen, Koln and Schalke. Perhaps someone that knows the German League better than me can let us know if there is anything worth having there.

For me from the above I certainly take a chance on Tete, Pereira & Berge.

Any players on the out of contract list that you`d take?

Eric Garcia at City, just 20
Marco Paulo, winger just 20 from Fluminese
Gianluigi Donnarumma, 22
Emerson Royal, 22
Memphis Depay, 27, but looks like he is heading to Barca
Hakan Calhanoglu, 27
Elseid Hysaj, 27 from Napoli
David Alaba, 28, would probably go to a CL side
Lucs Vazquez, 29
Nikola Maksimovic, 29

Perreira is the only one of those I'd be interested in. Johnstone is a decent keeper but would be too expensive as a back up.
