Match Thread Southampton v Everton (Sunday 25 October 14:00)

Came back from church only to find the team down to 2-0. Can't comment on the game as I only saw Southhampton with the ball and pretty much the game over once Digne was sent out. Once you feel the loss of a team in the pit of your stomach you know you are hooked. I'm a Toffees' fan.

Always going to be tough when we conceded the first goal...

They are quick & were too quick for our slow midfield...

Worrying signs though with James injured again, Digne out for three games,Richarlison 2 more games, Coleman injured....

We had no answer to their quick play & pressing...

But I dont take these empty performances where we get beat on intensity

Yep, that's the thing, i mean when siggurdsson lost the ball and stood there with his arms out whilst their players ran straight past him, that's disgraceful and he rightfully got hooked. We've got enough injuries as it is without stupid red cards, we've had an absolute hiding from the media for no reason, the ref was waiting to brandish a red against us to make a statement, don't go and give him an excuse, missing 2 of our best 3 players now for a big game v man utd, won't be surprised if james is injured too, especially the next game which almost looks like a write off already, we'll be playing about 6 players not in the first XI.

won’t I hate is a sheer lack of effort in a side and today you’d struggle to see a poorer group of players in that department

I can deal with a lose. But I can’t deal with going out their top of the league and looking absolutely crap. We couldn’t even pass a ball today and at no point did we even look the slightest bit dangerous.

It happens to every team in the league. We don’t have some divine right to avoid a bad day at the office.
