Yellow, White and Spots. He's just 21!
Who was they last to do the treble?. Merckx?
Just checked - as i thought Virenque took polka dots for most of the 90s, and he did in 97.Ulrich 97, i think.
Yes Ulrich won that year and took the White as well. He was 23.Ulrich 97, i think.
Merckx won the race in 1969 and took both the points and climbers jerseys as well. He was 24.Yellow, White and Spots. He's just 21!

I can just imagine the comments had he been riding for the Brailsford team.Pogacar 6.9w/kg on that climb, trouncing the best climbers in the world. After bettering them on the flat TT run up. From a man not known as a world class ITTer.
I'm calling now that something doesn't smell right this Tour.
When did Froome do something equivalent to today? He won by being consistently the best, taking time over the full 3 weeks.I can just imagine the comments had he been riding for the Brailsford team.

I stand to be corrected, but I don't think he ever produced figures like Pogacar did today (and for a 20 minutes stint after riding threshold for 40).
I'm not saying some of the Sky performances weren't questionable, but they were nothing like today.
It was certainly one for the ages, although you cant read too much into GT TTs wrt to the field imo, its often only a handful of riders who are really going for it. Recall Contador burying prime Cancellera in a TdF TT for example. Or Alaphilippe last year. When did Froome do something equivalent to today?
