Just for a little bit of perspective, aimed at shutting up those incessant whingebags saying he's on his holidays or he hasn't done any business yet. So far, across all 20 PL clubs for next season, there have been 16 incoming transfers, deducted those agreed in January (Ziyech) and those that were already on loan (Soucek, Lo Celso etc.) that leaves a grand total of 11 incoming transfers... some highlights from said 11 players?

- Nkounkou to us
- Wes Foderingham to Sheff Utd
- Matija Sarkic to Wolves

Clubs so far, excluding turning loans permanent which will have been worked on before the season ended, have spent ~£59m so far and ~£48m of that was on Werner and ~£10m spent on two random kids Man City will probably never play.

So no, Brands isn't on holiday, he's not being slow, he's not useless, the whole LEAGUE hasn't really started recruiting yet.

Timo Werner dislikes this.

If we miss out on Gabriel let it be known Brands could have had the deal sewn up by March but pulled out over a few quid - the same Brands who was happy shelling out £34 million for Iwobi.

Let dat sink in.

We wont lose him over money, we agreed a fee with Lille a while ago now.

Other clubs have shown interest and sadly it appears as tho Everton are very down on his list now.

As I said in his thread the price he is available for its no surprise he's so in demand.

Every player he's signed has improved the squad.

Bar Iwobi.

The uncomfortable truth for some right there. Even Iwobi, played in his correct position is he not better than messrs Lennon, Bolasie Siggurdson, Sandro (some of the wide options in 17/18).

The problem is that Brands was working from an extremely low baseline, it will take time and patience and isn’t helped by knee jerk reactions to a 12th place finish when we sacked a manager and had an injury crisis.

Aye let's have a dig at Brands for showing a level of care for the financial future of the club during the nascent stages of an unprecedented pandemic :hayee:

No, he isn’t better. What makes you think he is? The lad is truly atrocious.

Knee jerk reactions to our worst finish in 16 years? I don’t think that’s knee jerk at all.

We sacked a manager because Brands didn’t buy the right players for him.

The cold hard truth is that Brands has been here 2 years and we are regressing at an alarming rate.

You know this how?

We had a fee of around £25-30 million agreed with Lille for Gabriel - Gabriel himself had visited Finch Farm around Jan/Feb but when the pandemic hit Brands pulled the plug and wanted to renegotiate the fee.

For the sake of a few million I hope he isnt the next Thiago Silva if we miss out or Brands & the club are going to look very silly.

In fact it would be totally "Everton that" after our recent shambles in the Transfer Market.
