ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

I support Everton, I just get a bit fed up with all the conspiracy theorists on here, it’s embarrassing. The League, the FA, UEFA, VAR, the officials, the media, opposition keepers, doping, match fixing. What you’re saying about Sterling. We all dislike the RS but some stuff is made up in people’s minds, like Sterling getting bad press is because he left them. No doubt Sterling has had bad press but he’s also bought some of it on himself. Why a Man City fan feels the need to come on an Everton forum blows my mind. Mind, you’re an attention seeker, so coming on here declaring your hatred and telling stupid tales get you that I suppose.
Why don't you let us know some of the things you dislike about 'them'.

Firmino, Alison, Mane and Keita travelled the longest and farthest in terms of miles and played quite a bit of international matches

Mane travelled and a possible injury

Henderson, Salah, Robertson and Vandijk all having an injury scare

Wijnaldum and Arnold were also heavily involved in the international matches

Wheels are starting to fall off. I predict a miserable run for RS during the December which will see them fall down to 3rd in the league. They will also lose both Club World Cup and Carabao Cup matches.

A City fan on here makes a hell of lot more sense than an Everton fan defending Liverpool with nearly every post. As asked to another Everton fan a few weeks back explain why you feel the need, with the ridiculously lopsided favourable press Liverpool receive, to call Everton fans looking to redress the balance?

What would you say is your least favourite thing about them?

Dont know think they kind of shot themselves in the foot the last few weeks, deciding that the Brighton penalty was wrong 2 weeks after the event doesnt shine a good light on the instant decisions they claim to make

The whole thing is a farce. Nobody paid attention really when it came to us vs Brighton. Once City were wronged it became big news. Look at the clubs that complained, correct me if im wrong but wasnt it Us, Villa, West Ham maybe then City? Only after the LFC/City game did anybody pay real attention to just how pee'd off most of us were/are.

Its more of a discussion for the VAR thread, but I can see it costing a club a trophy or relegating somebody, resulting in legal action

Agreed. I only mentioned it here because everyone is debating if Liverpool are benefitting or not. I think we need to worry about ourselves first.

How the hate by Liverpool for Sterling came about is pretty much summed up here:

It explains how Brendan Rodgers started it and how the 'Liverpool Mafia' reacted.
It also explains how other Liverpool players such as Stevie (Slippy) Gerrard and 'Spit The Dog' Carragher fanned the flames against him - and how Liverpool fans booed his every touch of a football whilst he was still playing for them.

It is what it is fella. Liverpool are a devious, spiteful, jealous, vindictive club - from top to bottom.

I quite like our resident City fan, and I'm sure he is quite welcome here as harmony reigns whilst we all mock and deride the rs.

What really is attention seeking and very sad, is coming onto an Everton forum when you are a rs supporter, pretending to be a blue and then acting like a cockwomble as you bemoan everything Everton and lauding everything rs. Now that's grade A bellwhiff behaviour I'm sure you will agree.

To be fair Mane ran all the way to and from his international match because he was so PEDded up.

I asked you to link to where “Sterling has all but said” the RS are to blame and you come back with that? A good article, telling us what went on. An opinion piece, just like yours but with a slightly different slant. If you look back at the beginning of the article, you will see..........

Sadly though money came to define Raheem Sterling, entirely unfairly but through a course of events that can be made sense of. He was no longer adored for his instinct to entertain, nor admired for his ambition and self-belief but rather labelled as ‘greedy’ and in the same manner as ‘Cashley’ Cole before him the player became a by-word for footballing excess and entitlement. More so, his highly publicised switch from Liverpool to Manchester City in the summer of 2015 was the most controversial and fractious since Sol Campbell limousined across north London.

He called out an article in the Daily Mail about another black player who had bought his mum a house and com

He directly called out the newspapers and in particular the Daily Fail. His example he used was so blatant they did a quick about turn and the rest of the media followed sharpish due to the fear of being branded racist. The hate was started and perpetuated directly from Anfield - without a doubt. Sterling had all but said this.

Still doesn’t explain the bolded statement above though. You can’t find it, can you?

The whole thing was instigated by Brendan Rodgers in a press conference where he said they offered sterling a substantial deal financially. When he turned it down Rodgers felt the need to defend Liverpool's reputation. Rather than say yeah we are behind City but aim to catch them within X amount of years, he basically threw Raheem under the bus. John Stones left for a better deal that naturally comes with a real chance to win trophies. As did Rooney before him, as did Van Dijk, as did Mane, as did Chamberlain, its natural that players moving to the top 4 teams get a better deal financially.
