We beat them away by the same score city beat them at home.

We played the full game against 11, rather than 10 men. Judge our result against the overall picture rather than the freak hammering with an early red card. Teams don't lose by 9 very often

6 league games, with 5 very tough ones, til our Boxing day fixture against Burnley. Would say we need to get 9 to 12 points from that if we want any chance of salvaging the season and a top 7 finish.

12 points would be a great return from the next 6.

We were the better team bar about 15 -20 minutes at the start of the second half

Granted we should be better at finishing and we should of blew them away in the first half, something like 11 shots we had that half, but the performance was decent, the players are playing like they want to play for Silva

Their are positives, it's just our final product that's lacking


Also yes they got beat 9-0 but in their last game before us they got beat 2-1 by city, and city left it late

Tripe like Southampton have already taken all 3 points off us this season -- and such tripe have also beaten the League Champions.

Tripe may be harsh but, in any case, I had loftier ambitions for Everton. Southampton are second from bottom and deservedly so imo.
