Why the disgust at us potentially signing Drinkwater or Delph out of interest?

Not to answer for the other member but Delph in particular represents just about everything in a player that we need to stay 10000000 miles away from.

He has had serious injuries and is generally injury prone, would command big wages, is of the wrong age profile, and would have no re-sale value.

Drinkwater is the sort of player I would consider only on loan and then you would have to question the feasibility of that from his point of view and Chelsea's, as he would be unlikely to start regularly enough.

Every transfer is a gamble, but in general terms there is absolutely no value in the domestic market for players whose career is on a downward trajectory, there would be more so abroad for players in late 20s/early 30s.

I actually really rate Delph, cue abuse.

He is better than the cover that we currently have for our midfield at the min and can also play left back. Won more trophies than all our team put together, England International and Captained city, England, Villa.

Get him in

he's alrite delph, can do a job and plays everywhere however it's his wages for someone to "do a job"

also if he is to leave city it'll be for a team who promise him gametime every week, where does he do that for us?

He doesn’t that’s why I think it’s never going to happen.

Can’t see us getting 2 forwards. I suppose both of those could play wider if needed but they won’t be as effective.

For me it’d be

Kean or Leao
Neres or Malcom
(In an ideal world)
The rs been linked to pepe at lille which could stop leoa from leaving

If we brought in Delph it would be an admission that the likes of Davies and any other young midfielder aren’t good enough. If this is what Brands thinks and we need cover then fair enough.

Here is today's alternative transfer news update, back by absolutely no demand at all;

Santiago Sosa deal has moved closer after 'The Specialist' was brought in to sort out a Visa. In a highly unusual move Farhad Moshiri made contact with Ray Quick from Miami in a bid to get the move pushed through, it's thought the deal will be completed on Friday and immigration officials family members will be returned unharmed.

Everton still hold an interest in Adolfo Gaich, the contract stipulates that he resolves the issues with his incredibly suspect haircuts prior to signing. There was a hold up in negotiations when Adolfo boarded the flight to Liverpool with a suspicious uniform packed in his luggage, he later explained he uses this for role play. Customs also destroyed a comedy spoof version of 'the boy in striped pyjamas' from his hand luggage.

Reports at the end of last week suggesting we held an interest in Diego Costa have been quashed after he confirmed that he has turned to his true calling, cannibalism. He's yet to confirm a target but Bill Kenwright hasn't been seen since going over to negotiate the now failed deal so some good appears to have come from this.

One bit of news on outgoings is that RB Leipzig appear to have stepped up their interest in Ademola Lookman, he is no longer required and a poor showing in Kenya confirmed to Silva that he wasn't up to PL football. In a shameful attempt to shift blame Lookman has blamed his injury on a chance meeting with Liam Neeson in the tunnel prior to the game.

More news as we receive it.
....This is how to do a news roundup.

No. Good striker but he should have put Liverpool out the Champions League at the group stages with the last kick of the game but decided to just kick it straight at Alisson. I refuse to forgive him.
RS might have won the league had he knocked them out that night!
