I thought benitez was a good manager until I saw his long ball tactics today. He plays football like big sam. I didn't realise he was a long ball specialist

He clearly isn't a long ball specialist. He is pragmatic and adapts accordingly to situations. Going direct in the second half was clearly effective so can't really be criticised. You can't compare a manager as decorated as Benitez to Allardyce. Absurd.

We can all be keyboard managers, and believe me I am at best ambivalent about Silva so not going to disagree with your game management plan there as it is all hypothetical after the event.

But regardless of team or manager Premier League players should not react like ours do when the opposition have a go. They are weak, and have been since Martinez and it takes more than 6 months of a season to achieve the huge mental culture change needed.

No idea if Silva will be able to do that or if it will take another managerial change. No way should we make a change though - what's the point when we've had the young extravagant type, the solid big name, the ultra defensive dinasour and now back on a young expansive type. At some point you have to stick and see where it goes.
There's no hindsight in what I was saying. Just simple analysis from what I was watching at the time.
It was fairly obvious the way things were heading it was likely a goal would be conceded.
Nothing genius in it, my son and nephew could see it.

Rafael had made his change at half time.
20 mins later the goal came (65min).
And then Rafael got another sub on before Marco had done anything.
First sub was 75min - 81min 2nd goal
Then another sub in 82min - 84min 3rd goal.

No taking it to Rafael
No leadership, no response.
Reaction too late, and a poor one at that.
If you don't show leadership its going to affect the players.
It shouldn't be accepted by the club.
A standard needs to be set.

Sitting on their hands as the club continues, in essence, to drift further and further away...
Get Moyes back. Rebuild the foundations. Then get in a world class manager.

I don't know who you are, you absolute fiddler, but impersonating people online is seriously worrying behaviour.

For others here I'm TheGingerQuiff from toontastic.net and I came on here to read your match thread after the game only to discover this wrong'un. Bizarre.

Anyway thought the ref was stinking today, Pickford should have walked, our winner was offside, you could have had a penalty. Pleased we got the points but Mason wants sacking
The referee was bad, yes Pickford should’ve been off and yes yours was offside.

Please don’t call folk fiddlers, that could be taken the wrong way.

Was an epic collapse no doubt. And Pickford was woeful.

Doesnt make any difference now but just watched MOTD and the 3rd goal was offside and not even debateable.

It was de javu ala Millwall with the phoney handball goal .
Has this club upset the footie gods in previous life ?

You want the man who never won us a trophy in 10 years

No, we're potentially threatening the modern saleable established brands in the eyes if Sky. Their scriptwriters and enforcers will keep us at arms length.
