Every week him and Walsh stay damages the players on loan further
Without a shadow of a doubt. I would go one step further and say a lot of the younger/fringe players in general, whether on loan or not.

Holgate, before he was injured, was strangely dropped from the starting XI. Both Vlasic and Klaassen are getting no game time despite the injury to Siggy. Martina is on the bench ahead of Kenny. Beni is not getting anywhere near the sort of game time he should be but Davies, who clearly needs a rest has played more game time this season than any other midfielder.

If Allardyce is still here next season I can see Holgate, Lookman, Vlasic, Klaassen all leaving, with Kenny Beni Dowell and possibly DCL all out on loan at championship teams. Martina will be our back up FB, Jagielka, Baines, Schneiderlin, Rooney and Bolasie all starters and we will have a squad of about 19/20 with an average age of 29/30.

I completely agree. The grand plan Moshiri had has gone west. At best we'll see Allardyce replaced by Silva, imo. Anyone expecting a name manager are kidding themselves.

We've hit the buffers.

Silva is bascally Martinez ... thought you'd be happy for once ... wait a sec... I just read what I wrote about being happy... my mistake

It must be big enough to house at least 5 people ... sam, Walsh , Morgan , Williams and bolasie... if we we squeeze in coco, sandro, DCL and woods/bill it would be greatly appreciated

How big do you think this Wicker Man is??? You aint squeezing nothing in with those two! You would have more joy squeezing everyone into Williams.

He’s literally the only player at the club I get excited over the prospect of watching, which is weird because in truth he’s not done much for us when he has played (not that he played that often) but he’s just got something about him which makes you think he could become something special. Odds are probably stacked against that becoming a reality but I’m a sucker for them wizard feet even if it often frustrates such was the case with one lung del.

I am not convinced of that to be honest.
I think that Sam has gone for tried and tested and you can understand why. The last number of months has been an audition for him for the Everton job on a longer term basis.
I think that Sam decided on going with experience where possible conceding less goals , picking up points, moving up the table could get him the job long term. I think he has misread the situation after the first four or fives games of his tenure when his role should have switched to showing how he could build a winning team playing football.

I think the wins immediately after his arrival removed relegation from the minds of everybody except Sam , he kept on his tried and trusted formula whereas , we , the supporters were/are looking for something more positive.

I think that if he has a full season ahead of him then I think that if the younger players are good enough they will be played. It is the way with younger players .
Regarding Lookman in particular. I think he may become a good player in time, but is quite a bit off being good enough to play every Saturday yet.

Well hopefully he won't be here so we won't find out.

If he is, I think you'll find that those "tried and trusted" will all be a year older and even less suited to the premier league. The younger players, instead of being integrated into the set up will be deemed "not premiership ready" and shunted out, either on loan or, for those who have somehow upset his ego, sold on. He will continue to play his safety first style and the fans will turn against him and the players very quickly. Goodison will become as hostile as we have ever seen it.

One word to describe it if he stays. Armageddon.

It's a shame. I genuinely liked the look of this kid. He really really had a great turn of pace, could play with both feet and could spot a pass. Lot of development needed, but looks like we're not going to even bother trying

Problem is, there came a point a while ago where we weren't in any fear of relegation (I wasn't personally scared even before Sam) and at that point tried and tested doesn't make as much sense. Sure as a business, the higher up we finish = more money but we've not really moved around much from 8-10th with these tried and tested players. Whom, by the way, have played poorly.

In the 7 games he has played a part in - coming off the bench he has earned RBL 4 points, his contribution doing so is the only thing which has kept them in with a chance of CL and finishing 4th still mate

different league tho mate. I don't think he is a bad player, I just think is he fully up to first eam premier league week in week out that's all. maybe in the future but doesn't seem it yet

Mate 90% of our squad isn't ready for prem footy tbh

Sounds like Fat Sam doesn’t like it because Lookman impressing for RBL has left him with egg on his fat face. If it was his decision to send him out on loan there his tune would be different

As I say Fat Sam will be gone in the summer so Lookman future wouldn’t be his say anyway
