Would have been a far better option than sandro, pretty confident he'd have beaten alonso for pace and at least made an attempt at a shot or pass in that late break that sandro gave up on

Ifs, buts & maybes mate, we 'could have' put Joel on up front and he 'could have' scored an overhead to win it for us.

If the Liverpool game is anything to go by, the ball would have bounced off him every time it went near him. Don't think either of them suit the role they were asked to play.

Oumars attitude as a footballer was wonderful, and welcome. His talents as a player mean he should never really play for us again.

That’s the crux of it really, its brilliant the way he’s applied himself but he’s needed that attitude to make it as the quality just isn’t there.

Long term it makes much more sense to try and get Sandro playing as his ceiling is much higher than Niasse’s.

Ironically it’s the type of long term thinking that many thought Allardyce wouldn’t bother with.

Apparently DCL will drop to the bench today and Oumar will start at cf for the first time under Sam.
Hope he takes his chance unlike at Anfield. Oumar's been very unlucky. He'd become first choice under Unsworth because of the greater goal threat he brings only to see himself become the first banned for diving and lose his place. Goal today hopefully.
