Interesting in the Limassol programme, the interview with Klassen mentions how Cruyff suggested he was a similar player to Xavi or Kroos.

That would suggest he's not a number 10 and may be better playing deeper.

He is supposed to be a CM (though was a 10 when younger). Getting him up to speed defensively before playing him there though I suspect.

If he does play it shouldnt be as a number 10. Hes not a number 10 for me. Should play where davies does. Its just hes not good enough to play there atm. Think he will get there and i do rate him. linked up well with rooney in the early games and has been involved in build up play and assisting the assister. Unlike some would, i think him competing with davies would be a good thing for davies to push him week in week out and to play at there highest level or they are on the bench. More competetion the better imo. Same with rooney or siggy for number 10 and martina and kenny ar right back

It feels like we are scraping the barrel now in terms of justifying this signing. The excuses for his poor showing are becoming more and more bizarre. I think the writing is already on the wall in terms of Klaassen, and Sandro for that matter.
I would love to he wrong, but deep down I know how this story ends. He and Sandro will probably both be making earlier than expected returns to their native countries.

He's a box to box guy, he's not a number 10, nor was he at Ajax. But he's not a number 6, either. He'll be fine, his first touch is great. But until someone gets hurt, think he's a bench guy.

I think he is a number 4.

Or maybe a number 7.

I would never play him at number 8 though.

aye he's not a 10 but I don't think he's cut out for a two in central mid in the prem just yet.

he's always played as either a 10 or then a 'floating role' in a 4-3-3-

he'd probably have been perfect to play instead of Gueye on Sunday.
