Aye cracking shout that. Couldn't choose too easy.
Decisions eh?Be a difficult choice between him and Andrei who the bets right winger i have ever seen play for us is...
Now we have none........................
Was watching you tube vid of that hame a few weeks ago and I picked up on that comment. What could have been. The one thing that makes me sad is during the Cup Winners Cup final Brian Clough was co commentator ( I think ) and he said something along the lines of "This exciting young Everton side are going to dominate English and European football for many years to come "
Ah well.
Moggsy was the most complete winger I have seen, Shankley almost resigned over Liverpools board selling him to us. As you say he was a very tough customer as well, in Jack Charlton's auto biography, he admits that there were only two names in his "little black book", Hutchinson of Chelsea and Morrissey of Everton. Moggsy broke big Jack's ankle and then stood over him and said, " are you ok big, man?"I was fortunate enough to have seen four great wingers at Everton, Johhny Morrissey, Dave Thomas, Andrei and Trev. trev was the most skillful by miles, Andrei was the biggest goal threat, Dave Thomas the best crosser of a ball and Morrissey had a little bit of all three mixed with some Pat van den Hauwe too! Jink past one, turbo past another, score a wicked volley then chin the centre half!
Nifty little video this ; what an underrated player.
Steven and Sheedy must have been an absolute delight for strikers to play with.
