Clearly a gifted player but seems he isn't suited to premier League football as he is breathing through his arse after 20 minutes. We may look back and regret it one day but not sure we would ever have seen him do that good in the league.

Players like gerry don't come around very often and I had massively high hopes for him. It's been obvious though for at least 12 months though that he just was suited to the premier league. It's the right call to sell him in my opinion

I hafto remind myself that some birds arnt meant to be caged. Their feathers are just to bright. And when they fly away the part of you that knew locking them up was a sin does rejoice. But still the place you live in is that much more grey....

As I understand it he has to agree to the move and from what I hear he'd rather go to a club who give him game time. Does this mean Barca exercise the clause and then sell him on at a profit?

We have start recouping some of the money we have spent. Del 10.5m and cleverley 8m is a start. Shame about del, koeman will get slated for letting a talent like Geri go, but as already has been said previously, a succession of managers didn't trust Del. Sadly I think his time at Barca will only be used as a means to sell him on, but wherever he ends up, I really hope he realises the talent that the lad undoubtedly possesses.
