Ha ha okay just some clever presentation on your part then :D

I'm not getting into the Barkley thing again but I still think Walters would have been a tidy option for us. I personally think he'd have been a good addition. He's a Blue as well do that's also a positive isn't ?!?

For Besic I'd like to see him take a step back to a lower league where he might get a bit more time and space to show what he can do. As said before he needs games under his belt more than anything at this stage of his career.

A decent spell in somewhere like Scotland could really set him up to compete with Barry in a years time or so. That's all I'm saying
Do you ever tire of trying to wind people up ?

I'm not trying to wind anyone up. So unless the opinion is "he's pure boss ladd" I'm on a wind up?

We signed a young centre half from the Hungarian league who shows the odd flash of great skill. He's not a first choice starter so why not loan him out to give him game time? There's no pressure on him and would only be good for.him. I want him to be great for us. Against City he stood out. Now let him do it more often.

Ps @Chang Elephant - good to see you happy mate :D

So by your reckoning lets send him to Scotland ffs.... why not make it Marine and save on the rail fare.

Yeh it was badly worded, so apologies for that.

But the point I was making is that you'd be happy to see such a talent like Barkley be sold, and Besic go on loan to Scotland (which in no way would help him develop into a Premier League player - which he already is anyway - as it is so far removed and behind quality wise), and then bring a player of the very limited quality and age (33) of Walters in... But if that's your opinion then fair enough.

He's stood out every time he's played this season.

The only reason he hasn't played more is due to two hamstring injuries that have nothing to do with strength, ultimately. He's a player who, like McCarthy, is very quick over 10 yards. And, like McCarthy, that means he is more prone to a hamstring strain.

It's now just making sure that he is given the right amount of time to recover.

Think you're being generous saying he's stood out every time mate. Agreed a step up from last year but still short of the first 11.

Anyway 75 games or so in 5 years. Age 23/24. Lad needs minutes on the pitch. That's all then we can see.

Besic made a load more appearances than he would have expected to last season mate.

And ok, maybe not every time, but definitely in most of his games this term...

Barnsley - Poor first half but he had had no pre-season due to a nasty knock. Looked a lot better in the second with Barkley next to him and ended up playing 120 minutes.
Spurs (A) - Came on in the second half did he not? Didn't do anything special but didn't do anything wrong either.
Chelsea (H) - Went off after 4 minutes with his first hamstring injury.
Newcastle (A) -After 3 and a half months out, he comes on late on. Gets about.
Spurs (H) - Changes the match completely in our favour when he comes on after 60 minutes.
City (H) - Superb performance. Dominated their midfield.
D&R (H) - Ran the game (albeit against a league two side).
City (A) - Once more, superb in nullifying their attack.
Chelsea (A) - Another top class display.
Swansea (H) - Great run and strike which hits the post. Goes off after 5 minutes with a hamstring injury.

Agree he needs minutes, but they can only come when he returns from injury, and he will get them when he does.

The solution is not to loan him out, and definitely not to a league of the turgid standard of Scotland or Finland. The best place for him is here where he plays alongside and against better players.

So a player who was commended for man marking Messi in a World Cup match, bossed a midfield in a semi final against Man City should be loaned out to Scotland?

What are you doing in a football forum mate airing your views? You clearly know absolutely nothing about the game.
