6. Can the Chairman please advise what Robert Earl brings to the Club? What exactly does he contribute?

Based on responses below the obvious answers will be that he brings nothing to the club and contributes nothing to the club. Let's see if the actual reply to the question provides this sort of honesty.

I think the answers are obvious. It's an investment for a rich guy. Nothing more nothing less. His absence makes that quite obvious.
I would imagine he is hoping an even richer guy comes in and buys the club and he will make a healthy profit.

Seems like he's a silent partner. This isn't an uncommon business relationship, and if it's not clear what this looks like, take a look at some/too many marriages.
