Apparently Carles Gil has been Villa's best player in the friendlies. I don't see why we aren't in for him as Pienaar's long term replacement.

Id also like to get either Ellis or Dembele as backup to Rom & Kone, then after 10 games once Kone has fallen over his own legs he will be backup to Rom

Would be concerned it would stifle the progression of Browning and Galloway to some extent.

Jonny Evans. Not exactly what I had in mind as a CB for us.

Still, experience tells us not to be too harsh on United players who tip up here. They do tend to prove themselves.

I just can't see us paying someone 3.5 million a year to be back up.

I also can't see him leaving one of the top teams in world football to sit on our bench.

It does not make sense.

The thing with th back up centre back thing is they're not really back up. Stones and Jags simply won't play every single game this season. The third one will get guarenteed games. At United he's behind Rojo, Jones and Smalling.
