Don't rate Alcaraz so I would personally get rid and bring Galloway or browning into as 4th choice and sign another senior centre back

I'd imagine only an injury crisis would see him make another start for us. He still has a lot to offer any PL club that doesn't mind getting beat each week.

I'd let Distin and Alcaraz leave at the end of the season and replace them with a left sided centre back in his mid 20's. I'd give Browning a season long loan in the Championship with a recall clause if we get injuries.

Its just time I think. No bad feelings on my part but that pass to Suarez in the FA semi will haunt me for a good while.

So should we start the season with three CBs? That would be suicidal. The minimum should be four... if that's what it takes then give another one-year contract to Alcaraz.

Sign a left sided centre back.

Galloway or browning 4th choice with one on loan.

If all 3 are fit yes. We've got Barry and Hibbert who could do a job there in an emergency or Galloway and Pennington who would be my u21 partnership. I'm not totally against keeping Alcaraz its just whether he would be happy being 4th choice.

Too big and creaky- like an old disused house. Big love for him though, been immense for us for ages. Need to get in another CB and quick though. And please please please please get rid of Alcatraz. How the bloody hell Bobby thinks he's prem standard is absolutely beyond me.

....it's ok saying bring these youngsters in but they have to be ready. If you see the recent U21 Derby, browning makes a major error that leads to their late equaliser, we ultimately lost to a late goal. I'm not convinced about him anyway but he has to learn his trade, he's physically capable but prone to big mistakes. Galloway is an exciting prospect and is nearer to making it but I can see him being physically bullied in the Premiership at this point. Both could come through but in the meantime the likes of Alcaraz is an able deputy if Distin isn't available.
