Barkley on the flanks is just a stupid move. The sort of stunt Moyes or one of the clueless Championship managers he went out on loan to would have pulled.

He played left side against Swansea and had a muted performance.

If Martinez repeats that today it's another bit of my faith in him down the toilet.

Eto'o out wide is stupid as well though.

Rom is okay on the right, but playing your £28m striker on the right after he gave a complete lone striker performance mid-week is stupid.

And Eto'o is best off the striker, so if he's the furthest forward that's... you guessed it, a bit stupid.

I'd assume if we had Mirallas, he'd be playing and either Eto'o or Ross would be on the bench, to be fair. Our options are limited especially with Pienaar injured again.

As you know, it's always been my angle: Naismeister on as a sub when we need something to come out of leftfield to break through.

Er no Dave. He's played a lot of minutes recently has Nais. Rotation is the word. Plus he'll be fresher today from the bench having played the full 90 midweek.

Mourinho played Eto'o wide at Inter a number of times.
He is class and can deal with it.

Let them rotate on the pitch Dave. Eto'o and Barkley swapping through the game will drive them bonkers.

Plus Naisy the Ghost coming off the bench.

That'll scare them.

Its brilliant that we've got 3 exciting and very different players who are all suited to play behimd the main striker.its interesting seeing how bobby rotates and accommodates them all cos none of us on here seem to agree on how it should be done.its a massive step up from the moyes days when formation and lineup hardly ever changed

Intersting line up. I would expect the front 4 of Lukaku, Barkley, Eto'o and Mcgeady to play a fluid system. We seemed to do this to perfection on Thursday with players covering each other and finding space constantly. We were not fit enough early season to do this successfully.

True. But I'd take him over Barkley out there.

It's not ideal. Mirallas being out demonstrates just how crucial he is to this team.

Nail on the head. Can't wait for his return.

We have other quick players but so few use their pace well. McGeady is more about taking people on -- or trying to and Atsu is just... well I have no idea what he's trying to do. And I don't think he does either. Mirallas can open teams up with ease and we'll always miss a player of his ability.
