ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

What injuries are they exactly suffering with? Lallana has missed the first 3 games and Sturridge might miss a couple but who else?

I tend to believe this is related to lack of top class signings: they kidded themselves all summer they'd strengthened. Now Sturridge is out for a spell they realise the replacement for him is less than top quality.

You don't say mate, you can't just have a good player for them, they have to be World Class and a true specialist in what they do. Before Balotelli signed my mate was trying to convince me how Lovren was world class on the basis of nothing but him signing for Liverpool. He failed miserably.
Give them their dues, they never lack for confidence/arrogance,that spreads to the media who support the "myths",which in turn permeates through to the opposition/officials IMHO,we tend to play our boys down to a large degree, christ knows what they would have made of the likes of Coleman if he had a season like last year for them!

Didn't they have a crisis a few years back with Stevie and Torres out. It was back page news and everything .
Meanwhile , across the Park, Everton had about 12 first teamers out

If only they had the money of dee oil clubs. They can weather severe storms like 2 players out injured.

Hope the little beaut is out for a prolonged period, though I wouldn't mind Lambert and Balotelli being out as it's inevitable one of their new boys will score their first goal against us.

I think deep down they know we have a decent side as it's quite common to hear the following from them -

Would love Coleman
Wouldn't mind Baines
How much did you pay for Kev Mirallas
Barkley would be boss for us behind Suarez ( pre rat sodding off )
Lukaku would have been good for us
Eto'o will be a good understudy

That's nearly half our side they usually admit to knowing are class players and wouldn't mind. We just need the players to believe it themselves and not have such an inferiority complex.

Sturridge is going to be an injury problem for them all the time. And now Balotelli is there he'll have to run his bollocks off even more and aggravate that thigh problem he's had for a while.

They're still favourites for the Derby, but I'd rather not be facing Sturridge's movement; Lambert and Balotelli are much more static. Sterling will be the one who'll need containing.

I long for an "Everton style" injury crisis, once just once for that shower,Stevie Me,Sturridge and Sterling, that would do for starters, nothing nasty, just hamstrings like Sturridge would do,would be great to see 'em in that position!(won't happen!)

Yep I was surprised with Sturridges fitness and form last season as he's got form for regularly being out injured. Someone just needs to do a man marking job on Sterling a.k.a Besic and then a main part of their creativity is null and void. He's a little tart when it isn't all going his way.

Either that or us actually have no bloody long term injuries for a change would love Barkley to be fit for that game and smash in 3 top drawer goals on our way to a 6-0 win!!

That happened last year,we rushed him back, was always going to be a gamble, may have paid off if that effort in the first couple of minutes had flown in,we always seem to have key men missing in these games and especially when they're in a great run of form, off the top of my head Arteta/Pienaar in recent times,so bloody frustrating!
