whats the lineup then lads? ossie in for Ross? personally id go with the following, replace coleman with stones if he can't go

Rom
Kev Pienaar Atsu
barry mccarthy
baines distin jags coleman

Howard
Stones Jags Distin Baines
McCarthy Barry
McGeady Osman Peanuts
Naismith

That'll be our starting 11 I'm afraid (with Lukaku, Kev, and Besic off the bench). Martinez tends to be very cautious with bringing injured/not match fit players back. This is going to be a hard fixture. No momentum coming out of pre-season; too many people coming back from injury or not match fit; and the blow of losing Ross. Wouldn't be surprised if we drew. Would be disappointed but not totally surprised.

Although, even without players like Coleman, Mirallas, Lukaku and Barkley, we should still really beat this lot but we've had a poor pre-season, not enough goals scored, and alarmingly quite a few conceded. Leicester, on the other hand, will be right up for this one. Their first PL match in years and fans will be right behind them from the KO. Really hope Everton shut me up and do the business this afternoon.

Howard
Stones Jags Distin Baines
McCarthy Barry
McGeady Osman Pienaar
Naismith

Subs: Atsu, Besic and Long

I know everyone is freaking out about our attack with Ross out and maybe Kev and Rom, but look at our defense. Remember how good it was last year, it helped us win many games. I know we gave up a decent amount of goals in pre season but that doesn't matter. We'll be up for it! We'll shut them down with the combo of our midfield and defense. Naismith with a clinical finish and McGeady with a nice assist or screamer!

what I want:

Howard
Coleman Jags Distin Baines
McCarthy Barry
Mirallas Naismith Pienaar
Lukaku

what I'm expecting:

Howard
Hibbo Jags Distin Baines
McCarthy Barry
McGeady Osman Pienaar
Naismith
Has Martinez ever played Hibbert in a league game? (Genuine question) Can't see him doing it. I've had a glass of wine and now think he will start with Coleman with Stones as replacement if Coleman tires of vice versa. Start with Stones and bring on Coleman if we need a goal. Hibbert brings nothing to this team at this stage (sorry Hibbo). Good review of game by Graeme Stuart on OS: manage the first 20 minutes and we should do these.

Kind of agreeing with this and thinking that without Ross we'll probably be more cautious with the ball so, in theory, gave less attacks.
