@SteKelly @moosed give it a rest eh.

As for Barkley, today and recently with an injury I don't expect sparkling form, as pointed out he was played out of position and from the bench.

Well it was his mum but it wasn't because he wanted a change haha. thats it from me on this. And Yeah, I understand what you mean about not believing people on a forum. Its all good

Let's jump to conclusions here....

1. He's a nazi fascist and was attempting join the arayan brotherhood. Didn't work out.

2. Needed to rid all hair for a certain type of test

3. HE HAD A FECKIN HAIRCUT

I like Barkley and think he can be class but man that was one shocking performance when he came on. Couldn't believe how bad he actually was. Couldn't keep hold of the ball or even pass it to any of our players. That pass when he kicked it straight out when we had 2 players completely free and we had a great counter attack on was terrible. He didn't even help defensively at all which you should just expect.

Sure he will find his form again from the start of the season

No excuses for that absolute holocaust of a ball though. Had Coleman and Deulofeu square for the counter attack, puts it out of play.

Haven't seen as bad a cameo performance from an Everton player. He was so bad it was actually incredible to watch.

And I'm his biggest fan FFS!

His performance today was reminiscent of Eboue's for Arsenal that time when Wenger Re-subbed him. I don't think his performance was down to playing out of position, recovering from injury or not being match fit, he just seemed lost.

He is at that stage in his career now where he is getting a lot of attention and being compared to some of the greats in football, i cant imagine the pressure that must put on a 20 year old lad to perform week in week out at the levels people expect.

Hopefully with guidance this is where he will learn to get mentally tough and not worry about outside influences.

Why are you expectations so low? And what a couple of pathetic excuses on his behalf -- so what that he came off the bench; does that mean a manager should never make any substitutions because no substitutute plays well? And in what sense was he played out of position? He seemed to be playing in the same position that he filled last week ie nowhere in particular.
