Lukaku

I think possibly £20m, but I can't see it being any less than that. They sold De Bruyne for about £16m didn't they? He's slightly older and has made less of an impression on this league.

De Bruynes impression on the prem us irrelevant tbh mate, he was sold to a german team and in that league he was as proven at least as lukaku is in this one - and more proven internationally to boot.

So using him as a base to estimate lukakus value is pretty fair imo

We will see mate, so go on what would he be sold for then? Im assuming given your knickers in a twist post about 15-20m that your value on him is gonna be amusing to read

I posted the figure £35m-£40m last month, but that's probably a little bit high now. With his injury, his goal tally won't be as high. That will affect his value a little bit. If it was the summer right now, I think he would move for about £30m. I can easily envision a club like Borussia Dortmund (who are losing Lewandowski in he summer) paying that for him.

No offence like mate but if you think for a moment lukaku pre injury was gonna fetch anything like 35-40m then your living in cloud cuckoo land, hes had a good year as a impact player off the nench usually at west brom, followed by a solid year at us, is very obviously not a finished article and has zero champions league experience which for that type of money is needed in spades.

To put him in the same bracket of value as higuain, above negredo/dzeko/tevez aguerro, suarez moving from ajax etc is ridiculous mate

And honestly you think Dortmund would smash their transfer record by close to 7-8m for him?

He scored 17 Premier Leauge last year as a teenager at a mediocre midtable club. To top it off, as you mentioned, he did so while often coming of the bench so saw limited minutes! If he had followed that up with a 20 goal season at Everton, there is absolutely no reason why he wouldn't command a fee of £35m-£40m.

Doesn't look like he will reach those heights this year due to loss of form and injury, so like I said.. his fee will come down but not much. He still will command a fee of around £30m.

Bingo, Chelsea paid up to 17 mil on him inclusing add ons.

The lowest we could possibly bid is 20 mil.

No chance mate, if he is put on the market its cos hes being deemed as not ready for the top level if europe yet by mourinho, that alone will dent his price, as i stated earlier as well, having NO european experience lowers his value as its a gamble how hed do at that level, anything over 20m will be overpaying for him, same goes for benteke for that matter

I think I posted this earlier but I don't see us paying more than 12-16M for Lukaku.

That doesn't mean that someone else won't pay more but I could see us going up to 16M and not much higher. I just don't rate him at 20M but I'm sure some club will.

Chelsea paid 12m, potentially rising to 17m with addons mate, seriously doubt much if any of the addon money has had to be payed as he has hardly played for them, guessing its appearance, trophies, goals etc based of which he wont have triggered any of.

Still think hell go for the 15-20m mark, lower end prob containing buy back or big sell on clauses etc

It's certainly not a given that he will stay on with us ok if we were to scrape into the top 4 then our chances would increase but I don't see us getting him genuinely think benteke would be more realistic proposition

After seeing Chelsea the other night, it's clear the biggest need they have remaining is a player like Lukaku...Whether that's something they believe he's ready for next season is probably still unclear although Mou isn't really known for putting trust in his young players

Rumours insist that he'll be involved in a possible Courtois - Diego Costa deal (Chelsea - Atletico), I think Lukaku would like to stay in England.

Chelsea don't need a lukaku for next season, they need a falcao, cavanni etc. If it was done it would be a undisclosed fee. I would think somewhere around the 15M (maybe a bit lower) fee but stacked with add-ons etc. The main clause in there would be a buy back option for Chelsea. Depending on that last factor will determine what deal we could get.

I thought Mou alluded to Lukaku's future being entirely in his & Chelsea's hands back in December?...You're right though, I'm skeptical that Mou will count on the young Belgian to be his focal point up front - they undoubtedly will spend big for a high profile striker...I'd throw in Jackson Martinez in there considering how much Mou loves to fish in the Portuguese league

Mou almost never says a bad word about his players, but it's very doubtful he wants Lukaku being his nr 1 striker. They need a Agueiro-like type...

even if chelsea want to sell i think theres too many hurdles for us to get him.

first hurdle -high transfer fee
second hurdle - high wages
third hurdle - he will be wanted by loads of clubs outbidding us and offering more.

imo the only chance we have of seeing lukaku in an everton shirt next season is if chelsea keep him and loan him out again + we get into europe.
