Talk about United signing Baines in January isn't going away, and he has yet to sign a new contract. Are United a direct rival of our's at this moment in time? Do we want to be strengthening a team that will be competing with us for a top four place?

United problems arent gonna be solved by signing a left back however good he is mate, as long as they have that midfield their problems will remain, plus moyes mentality will hold them back a lot in the big games

Its more a case of IF baines goes do we use that to strengthen our squad to be a better team than without him, if the answers yes we do it, utd have the money that we cant worry about what their doing as they compete on a different financial level and could in theory sign 2-3 top players in one window

Can't see it happening though. It'll probably be Barkley playing deeper with Osman playing off Lukaku.
