I've got no serious issue with Rooney the club was in dire straits we got a massive fee for him, plus we got into the CL once he left.
There again maybe our judgement of that is because the club has been pretty successful in the years since he left. Had we gone back to Walter style results and flirted with relegation consistently for the last 10 years, maybe Wayne would be viewed as the villain of the piece.
