but thats the thing you wouldnt spend big money on a dm. Defensive midfielders are a dime a dozen there job is to sit infront of the back four and break up the play, heitinga can even put in a shift there and preform well as we have seen.
 
Should not let him go, not until next summer (of course I want him to stay with us forever if we have a choice).
 

I would usually try to be positive but cannot see him here in febuary. Moyes should be out there now scouring the globe for a replacement. Is odidja-ofoe good enough. Dembele would have been good but just joined spurs. Dont laugh but Kevin nolan scored again tonight, he might be a nice stop gap til someone better came along. What other realistic replacements are there?

His already said he isnt going anywhere at the moment, teams dont tend to make massive bids in jan unless they realkly want a player.
It will be in the summer, the question is which team
this is the way I see it.
Chelsea-no becuase of the players they already have, he wouldnt start ahead of mata oscar or hazard, would improve them defensively but I cant see him leaving to play DM
United-cant see him goin there
arsenal-wenger would love him but wouldnt pay the kind of money we are after]
city- have toure
cant see him leaving newcastle or spurs.

if he leaves it will be to a foreign team

I hope to god it is a foreign team, and would say it will be. But to be honest in Jan is when the big excessive bids go in for most players. I would imagine we would get more in jan. Its really a matter of can the board resist a big bid.
 

Why did we agree to such a large selling on fee for Standard liege ? He was an unknown entity at the time...I think they should be banned from contracts along with a player dictating a minimum bid that a club must accept to sell him.
 
Fecking Wenger want's him in Jan Do one you [Poor language removed] why should we let our best player go ? if that happens my ST goes back after 50 years our hopes of top 4 go grow some balls Kenwright !!
