2025/26 Thierno Barry

Ndiaye's pass to Barry was impeccable, credit to Barry as it was a sharp run that placed him in an ideal position to take the shot
The three worked the numbers against the defender really well, to be that advanced that quick, I thought the Ndiaye pass was a touch close and the keeper did his scary best.
Something had to give, glad it was today.

As an aside, is it the weather or the light or the none stop rain, but it doesn't feel two games away from Christmas.

The best thing for the club is to keep playing him, not buy anyone or waste our time with Toney or whatever, and see where it takes us. Hes getting to the right spots. Today it finally went in. I think it’ll keep happening.
I don’t think bringing Ivan Toney in would be wasting our time, obviously would depend on finances of the deal but would be a good addition to the squad

I think if we had played this way all season, Barry and Beto would be on more goals. Beto would probably be starting as counter attacking is where he tends to shine. I am actually kind of glad though that we are giving Barry the run though. He is supposed to be the future.

We have an old squad. That makes it older. I don’t like doing this but I do think Toney is one where you have to be really sure about the person before you commit to him.

….he does go down ridiculously easy, he has to be more combative in this league. I think you can see his teammates frustration with him staying down, trying to lift him back on his feet. I’d be sure they’ll be telling him as much.

He seems to have a genuine issue with his shoulder though because I have seen him stay down multiple times after fairly innocuous falls. Someone said it popped out twice today. I used to play football with a guy who had something similar. He would regularly dislocate his shoulder just by falling etc. It's very painful and I'm not sure there's much they can do about it. Every dislocation makes the next one more likely.

it was a great bit of forward play, Ndiaye kept driving at the defender, Alcaraz made a good run out that the defender had to go cover and when he turned his body to go cover, that was when IN passed to Barry who made sure he was close to IN but had space for the pass. Lovely stuff
