2025/26 David Moyes

There’s a thing called injuries.
If you think two keepers is better than an outfield player then it’s a pointless conversation.
The point is though, if you’re at a point where you’re even considering putting a second keeper on the bench then the other player in the mix has clearly got absolutely no chance of coming on, so it makes no difference. Like if we’d put braiden graham on the bench on Saturday for example, there’s just no way on earth he’s coming on ahead of dibling Beto or McNeil so in reality him being on the bench gives you absolutely no more options at all. There were already 2 outfield players on there who had no chance of coming on, what’s the point in making it 3?

Two reserve keepers.
The conversations must be baffling, no wonder our bench always looks so miserable.

5 Players knowing they ain't going to get a sniff.

4 players just dreaming of touching the grass.

The little warm up's they do are probably just to escape the others, whilst also getting their steps in..

That's what 3 months of 'Word Association' does to you..

They must have some good games of I Spy

So somehow, on Saturday, you think we were gonna have so many injuries, that we’d need to make 5 subs, and 1 of those 5 subs, was gonna be a mystery academy player ahead of anyone else on that bench?

And again, you still can’t name a single player from the academy you think is missing from the bench.

Just looking at the Prem squads at the weekend and haven’t seen a single one with 2 keepers on the bench. Just shows that:

1. Our squad is absolutely chronically weak.
2. Some of you must carry 2 spare pair of underpants around ‘just to be on the safe side.’
To be fair, having 2 keepers on the bench isn’t a rare thing. Newcastle often have 2. Villa regularly did. Emery did an interview stating it’s because he would rather have 2 keepers than give a youth player false hope when they would not be getting used.

I couldn’t really care either way tbh. Think our bench is dire as it is. Dibling barely gets a sniff, what chance does a random academy player have?

Final not finals. Like I pointed out to you last time, but obviously doesn’t sink in. He’s had 23 goes in domestic cups with Everton and been to 3 semi finals. That’s not a great record
And I’ll point out to you again, much better than what has come since. Who are these other low budget teams getting to cup finals every year?

Some of these are wearing two pairs of under crackers at once mate, and also carrying two pair with them, can’t be too careful…..
