2025/26 Tim Iroegbunam

I don't think he needs completely binning off, but he's never a DM. That was one of the worse attempts at the role I've seen since Holgate though.

Im not even sure he was tasked with playing DM on Saturday. The amount of times he was 10 yards ahead of Garner, I mentioned in the matchday thread if he was given licence to roam that advanced ahead of Garner then we would have been better dropping KDH back and playing Alcaraz in the more advanced role.

Either way, it was a shocking performance and he shouldn't be in the thinking for Tuesday.

Problem is, neither should O'Brien, Tarkowski, Mykolenko be considered. That's without even adding how terrible Pickford was, how ineffective Garner was, Ndiaye with his most useless performance ever and Barry looking anything like a striker.

Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s sidelined for a while, Moyes won’t trust him.

Similar to some of the games he played at the start of last season under Dyche when we conceded a lot of goals. Midfield just far too open when he’s in there. Played through far too easily.

He can definitely bring something with the ball but a lot to learn out of possession. Loan playing every week would be good for him.

We sent the wrong midfielder out on loan then ?

He was at fault for one of the goals for not challenging for the ball when he should have been favourite to get it. That did my nut at the time.

The one where he failed to clear the lines, Newcastle got really lucky. The shot on goal so bad it was heading toward the corner flag happened to end up at the feet of one of their forwards, then Jords absolutely fluffed it. He should've lumped it, but that outcome was particularly punishing and summed up our luck in that whole game.

He's got very tidy feet and can clearly beat a player but I couldn't even guess what his best position is or even whether he's premier league standard. He ain't a DM that's for sure.
