The Current FUME Thread

As in the actual emergence out on to the pitch? I must admit I was mildly annoyed by that at the Fulham game, but I was only just getting to my seat as they came out on Saturday so I didn't notice if they did it again.
It was a bit like that scene near the end of 'The Sound of Music' (waiting for the Von Trapp family to come out).

You can just close your eyes.
Like telling a victim of racism to put their fingers in their ears. Good one.

Yes....apparently he is not timing his walk onto the pitch correctly.

To even think this is an issue, is madness.
I mean, it's obviously not an issue like in the grand scheme of world events, but in the context of talking about Everton I get it. I've been going to the game for 30 years and they've always emerged from the tunnel at pretty much the same point in Z-Cars, it's part of the routine and the crowd noise reaches a crescendo as they come out because everyone knows when that moment is. It was quite weird at the Fulham game to have everyone roaring for the entrance and then find out that actually they hadn't come out and so doing another half hearted effort 30 seconds later. I wouldn't write a strongly worded letter about it like, but ideally i'd remind them to time it properly in future.

Are you new here?
The thing is mate, your humour is very blunt humour, Which is funny. I like that kind of responsive humour, but their is no real adaptation to that.

So it's not always going to come across straight away as humour, you need different triggers to your bow.

When thats basically the first thing you see over a bad subject, that doesn't throw out humour.
