If Ndiaye couldn’t play, or wasn’t fancied, out on the right, Dibling would have had more minutes. We just haven’t needed him like we thought we might.

Moyes not playing him at all is beyond weird, but he has form for it and is doing the same with Aznou.

I dont know if youre frustrated with:
A: Investing into young players
B: Moyes not playing young players
C: Not spending more on immediate impact players



For comparison, Archie Gray has 72mins in the league this season for Spurs, Odobert 445mins and Bergvall 414mins.

If we were to drop e.g £40mil on Archie Gray in January then he normally walks into our team at right back. However, I'd expect Moyes to prefer O'Brien there due to 'experience'.

If and when players like Dibling, Gray or others become available we need to sign them. Not for today, but for tomorrow.

Fees of £35-40mill for young English talent will only increase.

Of course, this needs to be balanced with signings for today.

I'm just bemused at the decision to spend a such a large portion on a lad he won't play.

I can accept that for why he isn't starting but to barely give him any time at all this many matches in is a worry to me.

Could be that we signed Grealish and Dibling is the player who will replace Grealish in the 11 with Ndiaye switching back to the left.

Which right wingers were we linked with who would be starting? I actually cant remember any wingers aside from Bakayoko. Fofana can play both sides but would be in the same boat as Dibling / McNeil with Ndiaye and Grealish favoured by Moyes.

I'm not concerned just yet but by end of the season we should see something happen in terms of game time and development.

Our aspirations are to be better than last year and you'd have a hard time explaining right now how the Dibling signing has had any impact towards that goal.

We aren't Chelsea, Spurs or Newcastle are we? We're a team that's been battling relegation aspiring to midtable stability not one building a squad for Europe with promising youngsters.

The issue isn't that he isn't a good development prospect, the issue is that we could have used that money on a finished article player who would actually have made an impact by December.

Reading that is actually quite disheartening mate, essentially what you are saying is we shouldn’t invest in young players with a national profile of potential, because essentially we shouldn’t aspire to compete with the likes of Chelsea, Spurs and Newcastle - just no, I’ve grown up with those clubs being less then our peers, I won’t accept we can’t or shouldn’t compete with them ever, it’s sad if you have.

Your aspiration is mid table, be better then last year, my aspiration is fir Europe this season.

If that involves having Grealish, Illy and 35 mill + in terms of options or dunking it out, I’m very alright with that, after the last few years.

The plan is a process, not an event.

Think that’s down to him coming on in situations, where Moyes wants a bit of experience. Apart from one sub appearance, McNeil is only getting a few minutes. McNeil could be sold in January

deffo not the man to bring on on Monday tbf. But the other game was a strange one. Im not worried about Dibling personally. I don't get the feeling he's one of our usual expensive errors.

I think we had and have one of the oldest squads in the PL in the summer and needed to bring that down and have a medium term view in some players.

Should we aspire to spend 35 million on young players who can’t get in the team, absolutely , dream land stuff.

I honestly can’t fathom how people can complain about Harrison, Lindstrom being replaced by Grealish and Dibbling. Would you have preferred to get Harrison in on another loan - he prob would have played more mins then Tyler has, so by your premise of mins and value, we should of signed him ahead of Tyler.
