2025/26 Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

Moyes historically plays a number 10 who's good in the air (Fellaini, Cahill, Soucek) so I'm not sure he sees KDH as his number 10. It will be interesting to see in the summer if we try and get a taller number 10 and KDH plays LCM.

….nah, KDH is ideal. The only issue is, who can play that role when he’s not available. Not sure it suits Alcaraz, he presses ok but he’s poor out of possession, maybe Rohl.

Alcaraz plays more like a number 10 than KDH does, as he's always looking to take the ball forward, slide people in or have a shot. The only problem is, he's not very good at it! Rohl I've barely seen so difficult to know how he plays. I still maintain that Moyes will be looking for a player who makes late runs and is good in the air to be his number 10 though. He definitely sees KDH in his starting 11 but in the middle rather than further forward if he sees things the same way he has for the previous 20 years.

He dropped in more when we were down to ten but at the start of the game any difference was negligible. Let’s see Saturday what he does. I’m hoping we see KDH Garner with Dibling on the right but I imagine it’ll be Tim.
I'd go with Tin myself in all honesty. It's effectively the same team that started against Fulham with O'Brien at right back and Garner as the 6 (we are fortunate he's versatile enough to do that).

….he’s a superior version of Doucoure, going where he can best affect the game. It’s exactly why Moyes bought him and didn’t give in to Doucoure’s pay demands. Don’t get hung up about him being a no 10 or a no8, he’s just a footballer.

It’s ridiculously hard work but he brings us quality in possession where Doucoure didn’t.
Oh, I like him a lot. Wasn't sure before we signed him but he won me over very quickly. He gets us playing football and I'm absolutely onside with that. I think there are tweaks we can make to get more from him than we did earlier in the season, but you're right - he's a footballer and it's been too long since we had that sort of player in the team.

Cameras followed him and the team around at the end of the game and he was so happy and full of praise for the fans and his teammates. Good to see, very spirited.
Was just going to post similar. Looks to be a good spirit there and in a game like that where you need to work your balls off for the team, thought he was really outstanding. He and Garner are both good ages and have a good bit of dig about them. Pleasing.
