New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

I don’t understand the ambition statement here, it think considering their attendance figures iver the last 10 years it’s a massive gamble and wildly optimistic.

Consider the issues we had building the HD stadium how are these gonna pay for it ?

They will need to be extremely successful just to get close to filling a ground that size

It’s a massive gamble with the future of the club

That is of course if it is the intention to be a football stadium that hosts NFL, or an NFL stadium that hosts football. Just considering the nationality and sporting history of their owners.

Thought this was interesting and also seems contradictory to talk during the build. Seems the stadium doesn't have facilities for over 52k.

Boss seeing her bat off comments from fat, mysoginist virgins whose patronising comments are just code for "I wanna sniff yer knickers".

EDIT: Just seen his twitter feed and, oh wow... I underestimated what a danger he is!

They had Dan Meis on a View from the Bullens podcast back in the Summer.

He was asked about expansion. He said it’s possible but expensive. When pushed he said you would need to extend the north stand but that would involve changing the site boundaries, so buying land from United Utilities in order to expand the north stand. So Meis has confirmed it’s possible, but would be expensive and not straightforward.

Yeah I get that regarding expansion.

This point though was there was talk that the facilities in the south stand were built to cope with an uplift in capacity from safe standing. That doesn't seem to be the case.

That’s also because of actions the club have taken.

You have the Seat Unique tickets, which are being charged out at eye watering rates. In general, the ticket prices have gone from being some of the most reasonable in the Premier League to the most expensive.

When you mention season ticket holders, it’s difficult to make every single game, and this year, the club have made it even more difficult to transfer your ticket.

I live in Hertfordshire with a one year old, so can’t get to every game. In the past, I could pass my physical season ticket to a friend or relative. Can’t do that now. If it goes on the re-sale, the club are charging a killing on it.
Seat Unique has got nothing to do with all tickets on the resale site or the ones successful in the ballot deciding they dont want to go anymore.

6 games in and only 2 have been 3 O’clock Saturday kick offs. Next 6 and only 1 is a Saturday 3pm- That’s the Forest game on 6th Dec. It’s why so so many are going up for resale. If Seat Unique think they are going to sell out their expensive seats on a Wed night in the New Year for a game against Wolves I think they are over estimating the demand.
My seat is in Club View and I didn’t read the small print and I cant put games I cant go to up for resale. So far I’ve been able to transfer to friends who are in Forever Blue, but it wont let you transfer to existing ST holders so they can bring someone. Not everyone wants to join Forever Blue. All in all, with the travel involved and an increase in Monday / other night 8pm games, I may only be a one season ST and pitch my luck on resale next season for whatever Sat games we may get.

That’s the assumption that most if not all NFL games will be played in the UK.

Are there any enough of those games to justify this ?

Capacity expansion is only possible within safe standing - so it’s only the south stand that can increase.

That’s directly from the club btw

Giulia Bould just confirmed any extension would be the north stand, but would require United Utilities selling us the required land. That’s from Meis and Bould, so pretty concrete

i’ve just posted - the club literally told me it’s North Stand only.

No land is needed to buy - they literally just make the standing section tighter and get extra seats in.

Space etc in the concourse is fine, not at fire restriction capacity

What is preventing your membership being used by someone else? We don't have photo recognition at games now do we?

I have form for talking stupid and being stupider. If as is highly likely I'm talking rubbish, just laugh and I'll get the idea.

Just to remind people, if we had 7k extra seats that would equate to just over 6.5 million each season in ticket sales. That's if they all go for £50 average, which may or may not be the case with concessions and the fact these seats would have the worst views.

The extra availability could have a knock on effect on the price of the rest of the seats, although maybe it equals itself out through more F&D income. Then again that goes mostly to Aramark..

Anyhow given the layout of our site, space for the extra people would require a bigger footprint or loss of hospitality areas. Either way it would be expensive, and once interest is added, if you don't see a return on the extra outlay for these seats for 12-15 years, it doesn't help fuel ambitions, it could easily have the opposite effect. Especially given our financial circumstances at the time we built it.
