Said in here a few months ago Birmingham are showing more ambition than us building a stadium that big and the general consensus in the replies was that they won't build it.

Now it's confirmed, a team that was in League One last season has bigger ambition than us.

Looks a bit [Poor language removed] with those chimneys though

Is it confirmed? Planning permission? Finance etc?

Not being funny, genuine question.

It looks like a competition for 8-10yr olds to draw a stadium. Half expecting to see flying saucer cars

Just because there isn’t someone sitting on a seat, doesn’t mean it’s not been paid for.
I wouldn’t be at all suprised if every single seat has been sold for every match, even if a large number were paid for by Seat Unique and co and unfortunately go unoccupied.
Agreed.

Imagine how many empty seats we’d have if it went to 60k?

It would be brutal.

We have empty seats every week.

We’re not selling out a 60k seater every week unfortunately
Is a demand atm as you only have to look af fans in the ballot to get tickets, i cant say long term will be that same demand. But at this time is, as another has said some seats have been bought already and sold as a package being more expensive for one game

Be embarrassing building that and not having 62k fans.
This is what RS and some of our own fans said about BM.

It might be over ambitious for Birmingham I mean they're not in top flight, are they even remotely a promotion candidate? Thought they were a yoyo club.

Still at least it's more ambitious than cautious mid size mid table Everton were under the likes of Elstone. (Mid table as in how they saw us).

It probably will happen, they are loaded.

Our mission should be in the 6 or so years it takes to build theirs, we make use of our increased income to keep pulling away and be another team to block out the European football spots.

Yup. Keep the steeplejacks in employment
Billionaires don’t waste money though.

The business would have to be able to support the construction cost.

They’re a lower half championship club who were averaging 16k 3 years ago.

Not a chance they’re building, and filling, a 62k multi billion pound stadium.
