He wasn't quite poor, he was bloody awful.

I'm in shock he found an Everton player with that cross as I'm sure that was the only time he found a player in Blue.

Dreadful on the ball and I think that will be priority position number 1 to replace.

Defensively solid but the modern game requires far more than he'll ever be able to produce.

….totally agree, I was trying to be kind ;)

I understand why so many posters ‘love him’ and say ‘playing for Everton means so much to him’ but we’re not in the business of just playing ‘nice guys’, this fella really isn’t very good.

I think he’s been here for over 3 years, just imagine how many crosses he’s put in the box during that time and finally he puts one on an Everton head that finds the net. I like the lad too but we seriously need an upgrade. Very poor last night.

I think it'll be the first signing Moyes makes in the summer. He'll know he's not good enough for how he wants Everton to play.

His body shape and movement seem different since Moyes came in.

He always looked so stiff and anxious going forward under Dyche, but he seems to be getting used to the idea of playing like a modern fullback.

I hope he’s able to continue to progress, because there’s still plenty of room for improvement - but I do think improvement is happening.

Decent player, gives his all, think he'll stay here for a while and probably be 2nd choice if we manage to get someone better. At least he's an actual fullback.

He scored a few goals early for Dyche and was banned from going up the field, wonder why he looked anxious going forward if doing that leads to being told off every time

Is he a world beater or the Ukrainian Baines? Nah.
Decent Prem player though, and at least he's likely to improve and seems to be doing so. Moyes usually gives a bit more freedom to the full backs and that seems to suit him a bit more.

The exact same thing would have happened at right back but the makeshift option is performing too well to be subbed off, credit to him.

Unfortunately yes I agree, very, very poor in possession, always tends to look backwards when he has the ball, decent enough defensively but the modern day left back has to offer a lot more,we need another in the mould of Baines or to a lesser degree a Digne type I think.

He's really not great on the ball, and can get done in the air. I do think he needs replacing, but one-on-one he's much better than Digne defending. Most of the premier league right wing studs don't get much out of him

Think he is good enough for the prem, could use competition so we likely do need to get another lb. Also think he could work in a back 5 as a left sided cb so he will continue to be a good player for us.
