Is there ANY chance he may stay?
Dude...give it a rest...they are both boss...yes, CD can get a goal, and works as hard as anyone, but LD is the better overall player...if you doubt that, then you simply are not watching the same sport as everyone on the face of planet Earth.
As much as I'd be thrilled for breaking news that he was staying now. I actually think it is best he goes back to LA. Another 6/12 months back there will have him coming to the last year on his contract and a smaller fee, which given his age we need a small fee.
The other side is drenthe needs a run at RW as to see wether it's worth signing him perminently.
That quote you gave me from my own post wasn't a direct reference to where Landon plays, as in "Landon plays for MLS so...". He is not in the same category as Brek Shea and Juan Agudelo - players who that post does apply to. And since it's already been noted by Bruce Arena that LD's been called up against Italy, Jurgen doesn't seem to give a rat's ass about this particular player's team. I still see no stats to refute my claims.
We clearly disagree, I'm going to let this die now because the Everton forum also could give a rat's ass about this particular topic.
Only if cheap, he's nearly over the 30 hill.
I'd be amazed if he stayed any longer. We are really going to miss him - massively. The work he puts in defensively and 'offensively' (embracing the US) is outstanding, even when things aren't going well for him he never gives up.
Hopefully, LD going will give Drenthe a chance on the right.
What is the right way to say that in England? 'His work going forward'? I've never really thought about it before, but none of y'all refer to the part of the game where you possess the ball and try to score as 'offense'.

On this side of the pond, we use tend to use the term 'attacking', as in attack is the best form of defence, although your unlikely to hear that particular phrase used by any members of the current Everton coaching staff. More likely, it would be 'defence is the best form of attack', or even just 'attack?', followed by confused looks and reaching for the coaching manual.
"There is something magical about this club that captures you the minute you step through the door - and it doesn't let you go."
