Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning all, School run so early start again today then off to get some reading glasses. My prescription has changed or if you are an old cynic like me wasn’t right in first place, this means completely new pair of varifocals with prism which cost nearly £300 less than 6 months ago or reading glasses so a no brainer really.
Good luck at dentist , @jazzy .
Have a good all.💙

Yeah that works for a brand new car where you can try a demonstrator but surely you want to test drive the used car to decide if you are interested or not.

I'm in the process of buying a new car for Mrs J and have a shortlist of about 5 different models.

When I've narrowed it down to a couple she will decide which one she prefers and then I will find one but there's no way I would agree to buy a used example without fully checking it out , if only to make sure that she's happy with internal / external colours lol.
I never said I won't check it out in fact if you read my previous posts I refused one they had brought from 250 kms away ! I hope you calmed down and had a nice day .
On the dentist they have a paste they can put on your gums before they give you a needle so you don't feel it ,just ask.
On the wife's car go on you tube and see the reviews it is surprising how fast faults are picked up by the general public and my advice because of that is don't by a brand new model -car yes but model no -so it has time to show the faults .

I love cars and the correct colour is vital for a car imo, but this should never be acknowledged as important for a woman by a man😂. I once looked at a blue Honda many years ago and the salesman said - it’s just your colour madam - my husband’s face was a picture as he looked pityingly at the salesman knowing the sarcasm that was about to follow. Another gem was when I was pregnant and was looking at a VW scirocco. The salesman said - it’s hardly a pregnant woman’s car is it? Well light the blue touch paper and stand well back ….
I agree some cars just don't look right in certain colours .I once knew a person that bought the car because they liked the radio ! On the second salesman he was correct in so far as it would be difficult from week 30 onwards . I mean if I had one now I would have to roll out of it .

Thanks for your advice

Yep awake early yet again for me listening to the second part of podcast on the history swearing. Look away now @peteblue I learned that f… wasn’t considered a swear word until the 16th century and a kestrel was called a windf****r, you’re welcome.;)
Am I right that some swear words related to female parts were actually names of fish?

Sorry I'm not on here these day's as much as I should be but literally pop in and out and this thread needs daily dedication to keep up.
I hope everyone is well and living a good life.
I am plodding on, just en rote to Glasgow to meet an old workmate for one or two pints and a curry.
The team are in a Sorry state at the moment just hope we find our rhythm again and get some points back with our appeal though I'm not holding my breath.
