Sir Landon Of Donovan

Eric Wynalda is effing clueless and takes every chance he can get to throw Landon under the bus - especially since Landon has broken his stats.

Talk about arrogance.

I would love Lando to stay, but Eric's comments completely ignored the fact that Landon DOES have a contract and that MLS does have a say in the matter. He made it sound like Landon could waltz over tomorrow if he had "ambition." WTF dude.

with all due respect, if Landon walked into the MLS office and asked to play in England full time, he would have their blessing.

this is ALL on Landon this time. Nothing to do with Everton.

Landon's life in California is pretty amazing. He lives in Manhattan Beach, in my opnion, the best place to live in all of the U.S. He is just enough of a celebrity in the US to reap all the benefits, but not so much of a celbrity that he has to deal with the downside - papparzzi, etc.

That said, he knows damn well that to really maximize his legacy, he needs to stay in Europe. Its really his choice - quality of life verses football legacy.

Dempsey is quickly surpassing him due to his success at Fulham. In my opinion like.

But he's had that success for two seasons really (he's been on fire 2011/2012). Compared to LD's decade+.

It all comes down to rating Fulham over MLS.

Cause johnnydawg, you are fine to have your opinion, but one thing I don't understand is folks not looking at the numbers. Because if you do, it's no contest.

Doesn't matter, the two of them are best. Whichever you rank first.

No. Have you seen what AEG and LA are trying to do with the CCL right now? I would have thought that your statement is true after 2011, but after this offseason, your statement is not correct.

And do we have any $$?

donovan is better at passing, reading the game, runnin off the ball. dempsey is better on the ball, creating space and poaching the great goal.

Depends on what type of player you need on your team is the one that is better for you. Frankly I like them both.

No it's correct. I've worked in the MLS before and I currently have connections there. It's all on Landon. Whether we have the money or not is something altogether, but it will never reach that level because Landon isn't ambitious enough to leave right now.

I don't care for Wynalda but he's spot on.

I think his decision to stay in LA is nothing to do with football. He lives in LA where it's sunny all year round and he basically lives on the beach. Who'd leave that for rainy Liverpool?

As somebody who has lived on a beach I think you're paying Liverpool a disservice. It's one of the acest cities in the world.

* this wasn't a check me I've lived on a beach post honest.
