Covid losses aside. Surely common sense needs to be given. We lost are 2 main sponsors due to war in Europe. Not our fault and we did the right thing in cutting ties. I’m not saying the club is ran crap because it is as we have have wasted money. But you get articles saying 700 million spend yet don’t say we have sold 450 million of assets too. Stupid thing to say but last 3 seasons should just be pushed aside due to covid and a major war in Europe.

The sponsorships aren't worth the same value and even what we got before was still insufficient to cover our book losses.

We have been desperate for commercial revenue growth for decades



It doesn't help that the time this deal needed replacing found the team at its lowest ebb in 25 years. We are at least marketable now than we were when we signed those initial deals.

There are factors that have nothing to do with Usmanov.

We are less marketable yes in comparison to our recent history and the top six clubs, but the worldwide market is huge and this is what we should continue to tap into ….it doesn’t have to be the same revenue obviously, but brand exposure in markets where sponsorship exists, generates revenue in the future

Yeah agree with you there, but the leauge then still signed it off. But then also we lost how much sponsorship money from USM and megafon last season, the season they are questioning?. Think I read 60 million but forgive me if I’m completely wrong on that.

The entire point of P&S and why the use of the word 'sustainability' is to ensure that the football club is sustainable. If a club needs the owner to underwrite losses then the club is not sustainable. That is why P&S is all about Profit and Loss.
This is to stop owners committing to expenditure the club can't afford and then doing a runner and leaving the club in the crapper

If the owner underwrites the losses who is liable?
A) the owner and not the club
B) not the club it’s the owner
C) the owner
Besides your lot will be next, you can’t tell me your revenue equates to a sustainable business model giving Digne 160 bags per week to warm the bench and god know how much to the rest of them to finish mid table.

*IF* we avoid a points deduction, the big fine will come with a transfer ban at minimum.

Could be a proper formal version of what it seems like we’ve voluntarily been doing, sharing financials and getting authorisation for any spending. Would fit well, as it would allow them to state we have been punished like the cheating scum we are, but actually wouldn’t have much teeth as our finances going into next season should be much healthier, with more dross off the books and with us accidentally failing to spend anything in January.
