Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good afternoon all. It's quite sunny here but really cold. Did overtime this morning - it flew over, I must have been working hard! Not doing much this afternoon, will watch the footie later. I've also decided to do a roast dinner tonight because daughter is out tomorrow. I might try roasties in the air fryer - see how that goes.

Great pics @Gwladysover

Hope you all have a lovely day x
Who are you supporting in today's games Ang?
USA for me but Argentina or Australia is like Hobson's choice

USA definitely, I think they are a much better team than people think they are. Probably Argentina because 1) nice kit 2) cool name for a country and 3) I like jaguars and alpacas better than kangaroos and koalas. All valid reasons to have my support!

Hello, have any of you heard of the Too Good To Go app. We were talking about it in work yesterday. I had never heard of it but my boss says him and his wife use it loads. Basically food retailers and restaurants sell off their surplus at a vastly reduced prices in what they call Magic Bags. You don't know what's in your Magic Bag though so it's a bit of a lucky dip! Anyway I've just tried it out. Invested in a Magic bag from Costa and got four paninis (tuna melt, breakfast wrap, tomato and mozzarella, and egg spinach and mushroom) for £3.

I might try this again ?

Son uses it, so does our neighbour. Neighbour often gets food from Tesco as well which she shares with us. We have had loads of bakery items which is sold off for as little as a penny.

Toby Carvery on Aigburth Road and The Greenhills regularly sell vegetable roasts for about £1-2; my eldest daughter gets at least one a week.

Places like Sayers, Greggs and whatnot will sell stuff late afternoon too.
