I request photos of Christmas markets if at all possible.Hello everybody - especially @jazzy . Nice to see you on here. Sorry about the demise of your table tennis playing days. Will you still be able to stay involved with your match reports and committee duties? I hope so,
Did you manage to go trainspotting @Gwladysover ? I do like trains. The house I grew up in in Liverpool ( we moved to my Dad's current house when I was 17) had the Liverpool - London line at the bottom of the garden. I can definitely remember steam trains going past and we used to love waving at the football specials. Well, only the blue ones!
I nearly died in the gym tonight. I wasn't sure whether to puke or cry. The PT had us pushing a sled loaded with ever increasing weights up and down a 15m track. Started at 20kg then increased in 10kg increments up to 60kg. Once we got to 60kg we carried on and worked our way down to 20 again. It was horrible. This was at the end of the session which had already involved various other types of torture. I'm off to bed in a minute, overtime in the morning. I might go to the Christmas market at Raby Castle on Sunday. I'm not a big fan of Christmas markets but Raby Castle is a lovely setting. I'll take some pics if I go.
Have a great weekend folks

Yeah I know. A Natural feature apparently. I had asked if it were synthetic because of the unusual blinginess but was assured not. That's a blingy granite!

My mum backs onto the Allerton branch of the mainline to Manchester. A couple of years ago, a steam train (linked to a Class 37) came down the line.Did you manage to go trainspotting @Gwladysover ? Our house was on the stretch between between West Allerton and Garston, as was, now South Parkway. Occasionally the embankment would catch fire - always a highlight as a kid when the fire brigade had to access the fire through yours or a mate's back garden. My mum backs onto the Allerton branch of the mainline to Manchester. A little search showed it was being shunted to Lime Street for a steam run up to Yorkshire. It was a pleasant and unexpected watch.
Define "become" lol1st time I've seen that , quite amusing but suspect it could become annoying
As long as you don't mind blingy kitchensI see that Falmouth has been voted the 12th happiest place to live in the UK ( St Ives also in Cornwall 1st) , perhaps we should all move in with Fred , I believe his house is big enough!
