Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

afternoon everyone,

seems plenty's been happening whilst I've been away.

@BornBlue76 so sorry to hear about your burglary and astonished how phlegmatic you are about the whole thing.

can't get into the World Cup at all although it was fun to see Belgium and Germany go out in the group stages.

looks like my table tennis days are behind me , at least playing wise. Had an injection a few weeks ago and all good for a couple of weeks but then got progressively worse. played this week and could hardly grip the bat at the end. not playing in such pain so will give it a miss for a couple of months and then one last try.

anyway hope y'all been behaving yourselves and looking forward to the return of the prem,

Not to hear from you jazzy but not so much on the Table Tennis front. Hopefully there is something else the Docs can try to get you back into the swing of it.

G&T Friday here again and just for Blue here's tonight's offering. A pink gin from Tarquins, another local Cornish producer.

Brilliant to see Suarez in tears and just as good to see those incredibly pretty Korean female fans into the last 16.
You left it to my imagination I see ,well actually I don't see it but enjoy as i am sure it tastes great

Nice to hear from you @jazzy ,I must be honest I feared it was more than you growing old . Of course I hope as @Armaghtoffee does that they can sort you out .

Good to hear from you, yes we’ve been playing nicely while you’ve been away. Sorry things aren’t so good on the table tennis front though hope things have improved in a couple of months.

Hello everybody - especially @jazzy . Nice to see you on here. Sorry about the demise of your table tennis playing days. Will you still be able to stay involved with your match reports and committee duties? I hope so,

Did you manage to go trainspotting @Gwladysover ? I do like trains. The house I grew up in in Liverpool ( we moved to my Dad's current house when I was 17) had the Liverpool - London line at the bottom of the garden. I can definitely remember steam trains going past and we used to love waving at the football specials. Well, only the blue ones!
I nearly died in the gym tonight. I wasn't sure whether to puke or cry. The PT had us pushing a sled loaded with ever increasing weights up and down a 15m track. Started at 20kg then increased in 10kg increments up to 60kg. Once we got to 60kg we carried on and worked our way down to 20 again. It was horrible. This was at the end of the session which had already involved various other types of torture. I'm off to bed in a minute, overtime in the morning. I might go to the Christmas market at Raby Castle on Sunday. I'm not a big fan of Christmas markets but Raby Castle is a lovely setting. I'll take some pics if I go.

Have a great weekend folks
