Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Went to my friends celebration of life today, he was a doctor and a very clever man
56 years of age and had everything going for him, he took his own life and left behind a wife and 2 children

Always remember there is someone out there you can reach out to , very sad

Sean began his clinical practice at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. In 2002, Sean, Cathy, and their two children returned to their Canadian roots moving to Calgary, AB, where Sean would spend the next 20 years developing his career at Foothill Medical Center. Sean was a Professor of Surgery at the University of Calgary and served 4 years as Academic and Clinical Head of the Department of Surgery for the University of Calgary and Alberta Health Services. Sean most recently served as a Regent for the American College of Surgeons and President of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons. Sean was a proud past president of the Canadian Association of Thoracic Surgeons.

So sad…..

Tried Uluru wasn't keen on their kangaroo.

Horse is sweeter than beef but not as gamey as venison. Avoid the horse fillet it'll be tougher than beef fillet.
The big problem with venison in Ireland is the rut and hunting season overlap so the animals and hence the meat are more stressed.
My opinion on horse isn't the same .I find it much stronger than beef ,really tasty and definitely not tough .We only get the inner fillets here and it is as expensive as a good steak at about 50€ per kilo .

We all wonder why these things happen .So sad ,they say that your health is the most important thing and when you hear of losses like this it seems so correct .

That's so sad. You never know what's going on inside someone who outwardly is very successful in life and that people can feel so much despair. Hope you are OK.

Afternoon everyone ,

Thanks to all , especially @Barnfred 55 , @anjelikaferrett , @Terrarian and @blue1948 for their messages and expressions of concern.

I've got a few issues on a present , some medical some not , which mean that I don't feel particularly sociable at the moment and able to participate in the usual badanage and nonsense that we all enjoy on here.

I'm sure , touch wood, that I will be tickety boo again in the near future and look forward to rejoining you properly then.

Best wishes to everyone!
I have only just spotted this, mate.

Sending you positivity and sincerest best wishes.

Saw eldest and GF today, last time before they chip off to NZ for 2 years. Went to Mums/Grandma new place, then the 3 of us to the Kicker for a few. Had a lovely few hours, then GF disappeared so Eldest and me could have a farewell.

It was very emotional for me, which was a total surprise to me, tears in me eyes as I told him "look after her, and I have never been prouder of you".

They fly to Wellington at the end of the month, got accomodation/mate there for 2 weeks, (bank accounts, car etc etc etc), then travelling for a month, up to Auckland @Dylan again to stay with an Uncle, then jobs in the new year. Plan A anyrate.
