Marco Silva will be keen to keep up his unbeaten start to life as Everton boss when his side welcome winless Huddersfield Town to Goodison.
The Terriers were one of only three teams the Toffees completed a league double over last term, along with Stoke City and Newcastle United.
Everton proved too strong for David Wagner’s troops on both occasions, with the Blues enjoying two 2-0 victories.
The visitors have had a poor start to their campaign, starting with a 3-0 home loss to Chelsea on the opening day followed by a 6-1 drubbing at the hands of Manchester City.
Their only point of the season came in a 0-0 draw at home to newly promoted, favourites to be relegated, Cardiff City.
Their most recent defeat came in the Carabao Cup, downed 2-0 by Championship outfit Stoke.
So it is clear, even at this early stage, that Huddersfield will be scrapping for their Premier League lives this season and will cherish every point they pick up.
Silva will want to make a statement to the rest of the division that Everton mean business, so the Portuguese perfectionist will expect nothing less than a comfortable three points.
Everton last tasted defeat to the Terriers in March 1956, when the Yorkshire side won 1-0.
In the 61 clashes between the two, Everton have come off best on 26 occasions whereas Huddersfield have claimed victory in 21 meetings, the spoils being shared 14 times.
One to watchÂ
Despite only netting once in four games this season, Everton’s susceptibility from dead balls due to zonal marking makes the Blues ultra vulnerable.
Steve Mounie stands at 6ft3 and will be desperate to open his account.
The Benin international will get his head on any ball so the Blues’ backline must be ready for a constant crosses into the box.
